Make it together

  1. Color the front of a paper plate bright yellow.
  2. Have an adult cut eight broad orange paper triangles to make sunshine rays.
  3. Glue the rays behind the plate so they peek out around the edge.
  4. Draw a friendly smiling face on the center and hang it in your play area.

Count the sun rays and compare their shapes. Talk about sun safety outdoors.

Safety note: A grown-up cuts the triangles. Do not place artwork outdoors where it may litter.
